The Big Tree
Located on the property of Grace Presbyterian Church, 1255 Navco Road in Mobile, Alabama. Said to be the oldest and largest live oak tree in the State of Alabama. Possibly some 500 years of age. The measurements are 30 feet 3 inches around the base, and approximately 75 feet high. The branch spread is over 122 feet 3 inches. The first limb measures 14 feet around and extends out 62 feet. A cavity in the center of this tree would make a fair size closet. It runs 5 feet North/South 6 feet 10 inches East/West and approximately 5 feet 2 inches high.
